THE FLYING TRUNK

In this tale of our series an incredibly wealthy merchant's son loses all this wealth after he inherited it. He has nothing left but a pair of slippers, an old dressing-gown, and four shillings. A kind friend of his sends him an old trunk, when all his friends deserted the merchant's son. That trunk is a magic trunk. It can fly! The merchant's son flies in this trunk to the Turkish lands and meets a fair princess who is alone in a high castle. To amuse her parents and become a groom of the princess he has to make up a tale which entertains both the king and queen.
